Unscripted Concert for Africa- Tanzania (UCA TZ) is a sub branch of Unscripted Concert for Africa(UCA) which is original idea for development found in 2012 in South Africa. UCA aspires to connect and nurture young talents in the field of music and arts meanwhile challenging these young talents to redefine the concept of being an artist as a respectable employment opportunity and to model strategies on how to use their work of music and arts to effectively serve, educate and promote their communities.
UCA creates platforms where young talents in the fields of music and arts showcase their potential to the society.
Our research concluded that large number of African youth join music an arts industry as opposed to traditional proffessions but lack opportunities to fully exploit their talents and as a result these young talents end up underutilzed or to some circumstances wasted. This explains why UCA took the initiative.

Mission
To celebrate African music and arts and elevate young potentials to greater possibilities, through organizing events that feature performances by young talents and artists from variety of fields in the arts and music.

Engage
UCA targets passionate youth in music and arts. We plan to get these young talents through studios, established organizations and online platforms. These youth will then audition and see who makes it through to the event and give them tips on how to refine their talents through professionals who will assess their auditions. UCA targets 25 young talents to be showcased on the festival (10 singers and rappers, 5 Dancers, 5 Crafters, 5 Sketchers)

Empower
We empower through running workshops where social skills, entrepreneurship and leadership will be taught to broaden their knowledge. Also empowerment comes through showcasing their talents on the festival; some will sell their pieces of work to the audience. We plan on bringing more well-known artists to the event and sell tickets to people attending the event to generate more revenue for the project. Income generated through sells of ticket for the event will be used to support and promote young talents’ work. Moreover artists’ presence is another form of empowerment as the festival turns into some sort of networking session between young talents and top artists. This also acts as an investment opportunity for artists to explore and utilize young potential.

Elongate
We aspire to create a data base and online platform which will connect these youth with artists and help with the marketing of their music and art. We also want to see links developing between these young talents and artists into long lasting relationships that will benefit both parties. This will hopefully build further bridges between these rising stars and current artists through mentorship, internship or any other work experience.

Unscripted Concert for Africa- Tanzania (UCA TZ) ni tawi la Unscripted Concert for Africa (UCA) ambayo ni idea mpya yenye dhumuni la kuleta maendeleo kwa jamii iliovumbuliwa mwaka 2012 nchini Afrika kusini. UCA inalengo la kuunganisha na kukuza vipaji vya vijana katika nyanja ya mziki na sanaa. UCA inawapa changamoto vijana juu ya suala zima la kujitambua, na kuelewa nini maana ya kua msanii na umuhimu wake kama kazi ya kuiheshimu; vile vile inawapa changamoto ya kutafuta nyanja zakutumia ili kuisaidia, kuielimisha na kuiendeleza jamii kuputia kazi ya mziki na sanaa.
UCA inatengeneza fursa kwa vijana wenye vipaji katika nyanja ya muziki na sanaa kuonyesha uwezo wao kwa jamii.
Research yetu inathibitisha kua vijana wengi wa kiafrica wanaingia katika fani ya mziki na sanaa zaidi ya fani nyingine yoyote lakini wanakosa nafasi ya kuonyesha vipaji vyao na mwisho wa siku wanaishia kukata tamaa na kuachilia mbali vipaji walivyonavyo. Hii ndio sababu kubwa inayoifanya UCA kujihusisha na hili swala.
